Was up at the lake today to see how much ice there was, you can see by the pictures the lake is covered and the ice is about 1" thick.

Im hoping theres 2.5 -3 inches of ice by Sunday morning :) I'm headed up to Mike The Pikes tomorrow and were gonna try to find somewhere to fish on Sunday. If not well try one of those Game Land Lakes

By the way those are some nice pics!

Good pics Lynn. Only problem I see, is the ice looks milky and not clear. Probably was snowing when it made ice, making it that way.

Well, the good news is that I was on top today ;D, The bad news is that it was only about 2 feet from shore >:( Did drill a couple holes, about 1.5"...........Ice looks good, I think this thin ice will hold through this weeks warming spell and build a good foundation for weeks ahead.......
The uper end of LB also has about an inch of ice......

Jim, if I had been brave I would have been twenty feet from shore and fishing.

Fine line between bravery and stupidity. I try to be neither ;D

I'll be ready Dave! I want to get over and try Sayer for some of those crappies! I can't remember when you left for Alaska but I caught my biggest perch at the end of March 14" 10"girth, in your favorite spot!

Lynn,

Keep that spot between you and me and our fishing partners.  LOL   i am serious though.  I want to hit sayers this year more and another lake that has some crappies in it.  When you get one at this lake they are usually very big.  mid to upper teens in length.  ill fill you in more when we meet on the ice.  Untill you have a good holiday season and let there be very cold days and nights to give us an early season.  Im hoping to hit Jean in two weeks pending cold weather.

Thats right, Jim! It won't be long now! It seems like its been a long time when we fished together last! I was thinking if I can find an ol pair of skis, like you did, I'd like to put them on my sled! I couldn't believe how much easier it was to pull! Have you come up with any new ideas this year yet, Jim!  ;D

Just was looking at the week long forecast! Tues. and Weds. in the teens at nite and only in the 20's during the day!! If its in the teens down here at nite, it will be in the single digits up on the mt. If that continues thru the week, I'll be heading to the MOUNTAIN!!!!   ;D ;D ;D ;D
