Nets (gill) under the ice in Mass

I just got done a post on North Snakeheads in Mass.and mention  The Chinese Jiffy 2 and 4 hp auger( 2 or 4 small horses traveling in a cricle with a tool on a sled) The Chinese use what looks to be nets (gill?) They catch 100's of thousands of a carp like fish and pull the nets a mile or so over the ice and the people collect the fish in a free for all using pitch forks and hand nets I wonder what Masswildlifes take on this  type of ice fishing???

No.....I'm a diabetic ...but I see a lot of that out on the ice and I got a good collection of tip-up the drunks left behind plus jig sticks.etc.

And dragnets off the coast of Maine...I GAVE UP SALT WATER FISHING BECAUSE OF THE REGULATION....I remember when you didn't need a lic. or count the number of fish or lenght of the fish.....WHat is that telling you? WE ARE GOING TO RUN OUT OF FISH IN THE OCEANS IN THIS CENTURY...HAVE YOU SEEN THE PRICE OF COD AT THE BIGY/STOP AN SHOP LATELY. WATCH THE LIMITS ON FRESH WATER CHANGE.
