Boulder Lake Mack On Light Rod
« on: Feb 22, 2008, 07:02 AM »
caught this catch on video: lake trout, it was about 24 inches and 6 lbs, boulder lake, wyoming - the hole in the ice is huge, so it doesn't look big, but it went on a few nice runs before we got the camera rollin'...

i like to chop my holes big, not just because these lakes have the potential to produce some huge lake trout, but also because it is easier to fight the fish - your line isn't running against the ice so much.

Any small children or pets come up missingaround your fishing spots?

during the summer all the time.  the big fish rise to them as they are swimming around on the surface, just like a regular trout will rise to a dry fly.
