I have a hard time telling the difference in taste between white perch and yellow perch in the winter. The yellows are better, but not by much. Whites in the summer are not that great, though. They get a fishier taste as the water warms. At least that's been our experience with them.

How close are u to winny?
Thinking about bringing the kids out mid day. Wondering if anybody can tell me what the wind is doing? Thanks
I also managed a 19.5" smallie which was a bit of a surprise. Nice to have two master angler fish down for the year
Nice work. I got my 14” white yesterday and had a smallmouth that I didn’t measure but was probably right around 19”. Unless they changed the rules you can’t submit bass for MA that are out of season. I’ve tried before with both large and smallmouth from ice fishing.
