heard there was 3 1/2 in on? has anyone went an drilled a HOLE??

No it doesn't, I checked today and maybe 1 1/4 to 2 at the turn by camp ground.It is all froze where everyone fishes though, so should be good by the weekend if we get the cold weather they are calling for.

I would be very careful about being the first one on that ice.  The walk to where everyone fishes is all over deep water.  If the ice is suspect, you don't want to be next to bank, and if your not close to the bank, your in deep water for the most part so I would be patient and wait like paul said till after this artic blast gets going.

Just got back from checking Westwood. It's just as marmooskapaul said. Maybe a little more than 2" at the parking lot at the curve. However as crazy as it may be someone was in a Shappell shack down on the other side of the power lines close to the creek. The ice is snow covered and am not sure what path he took to get there as I saw no tracks heading out there. Not safe in my opinion as the ice was creaking when I stepped onto it to check.
