I had to DQ the 1st entry of the season from the short area.

Make sure you understand the rules.

I saw the post, what was wrong with it? What part did he miss? I saw ruler, outside, his face, and id marker thingy. What was off? I will probably DQ myself tomorrow

24 inches to qualify for the trophy drawing, They should have been put in short category but since none larger were there yet we put them in the rainbow class. In the past there have been categories won with out having a trophy fish caught.

Mine was one that was the dq in the short area. Believe it was because of the ruler and I also had the tournament card in my mouth which was covering my face. Next time I'll remember the right measuring tape. Not a big deal, I will be back out Thursday, I'll post another one then. Tight lines!!

I have the question? I got my card,my tape measur, and pretty much understand the rules. A picture needs to be taken with me holding the fish? What if I am alone 99% of time.

I'm going to pass on the selfie stick..i was just curious what people did/do in the situation. I'm usually last gal standing when I go fishing

This my first time trying out this tourney. I'm going to be taking out my wifes selfie stick for when I'm by myself. I don't really have a choice. Too bad it has a pink handle grip lol

Just hold tbe camera/phone out in front of you. Worked for me last year but never had a loooong fish.

I was Dq'd because tbrre wasn't lakeshore in my pic last year and for a second time because pics weren't BIG enuf. Follow rules

I always pack my digital cam with me and most of them have timers, sometimes I have to do several before I get a good one. Set camera then run and pose LOL.

just another tip. if your attach a small lanyard on your card and hang it around your neck and take a selfie it will free up that extra hand and you wont have to have card in your mouth.

You don't need the tournament card around your neck at all. The tournament card only needs to be in the picture with the fish.

if your phone camera doesn't already have a timer, download "timerapp" I believe it's called. Just a self timer camera. There are a handful to choose from. My new phone has a timer so no need to worry, but in the past this what I've done. Eliminates the embarrassing selfie stick
