The "T" channels on the chain. All of the panfish seem to hide under that first ice.

T channel and Delevan always good.

Still gotta "shake" the thin ice creeps.  I was never a first ice kinda guy.

Drilled holes on Duck Lake (near the city of Fox Lake) today. Awfully suprised that there was 2" of slush and only 2" of ice. I had reports that there was 5"-6" on the Chain. The spikes were defintly worn today.

Anyway, lost more Crappies than we put on the ice. The bite was off and on. We ended up with a nice mess of fish to take home though. Crappies, gills and perch. My crappies came on Rosie Reds.

Heard the harbors, North point and K-Town had 4." Maybe next weekend.

Wow, blu and jackpine.  Ima gettin  the willies!

Glad to hear from y'all.

Love camp lake. They got a derby there every year if I am not mistaken.  Some nice teep up action.

What is funky is the water level. It was touched on earlier. Most of the lakes I seen are way, way down.  3-5 feet in some cases.  So, maybe that is helping the early ice.

Been along time since I ice feeshed so early.

I remember back in the late 80's hitting Big Portage near land o lake wisco for a thanksgiving treep. Always had solid ice, always got some good eyes, and always and I do mean always, had the 16oz PBR can for a buck at the indian reservation casino in Watersmeet.  Good times, bubba, good times.

Hey Komo

Best "Hard Water" site there is.

Let us know when the derby at Camp is. I will keep my ears open tooo. Fished Camp a couple of times myself. Tip-ups only. Lots of smaller pike in that lake. I have a buddy that live on the lake and fishes all year. Never went for gills or crappies there but would love to.

Maybe we can get a "crew" together to take all at the derby.
