early season i like to wait to walk out just until the crack of dawn.. more aware of sketchy parts in the ice. and then quickly set up and fish all day. but once I have my ice shack out there i love pulling up to it in my truck about 25 min before the sun peaks over the lake then unlocking the shack and starting the fire, while the shack is heating up i am out drilling holes and setting my tipups. By the time that is done i go in the shack and shes nice and toasty, i then drill the holes in there and begin to jig, turn on the radio, fry up some venision and eggs drink some coffee and have a wonderful day fishin!
