anyone from paul smiths college check in here. im a first year student and im pumped for ice season up here. i was just curious to see how many people from the college arfe on here.

It is a sad location for a forestry shool but it was nice while I was at the Ranger School. I have quite a few Smitty grads in my classes

When I got to ESF, my friend and I were wearing RS hats and got on to the elevator and there was some poor kid wearing a Paul Smiths t-shirt. He saw our hats, started shaking and said"Please don't hurt me!" Someone told him that at ESF, he would get beat up by the Ranger School grads. Actually, he turned out to be a nice kid.

not much yet, but ice is starting to form up now on the waters. Give it a few weeks and it should be good. Temps are lookin just right.

i would imagine there is prolly some ice on colby the lake in front of campus (lower st regis) is completely iced over might try getting out on it on saturday if i cant get on that im gonna go to church pond

still pretty windy and keepin colby from icing over. The edges are starting to build up though.

Lower St. Regis looked like a slushie on Tuesday, all it needed was a night without much wind, and it capped the whole way across.

You'll have to be careful there, the school has a bubbler under their precious dock, and it makes that whole side pretty crappy.
