lost 4-5 at the hole and must have missed another dozen. Ice is getting pretty water logged. and with no freezing temp for what $:-\$ the next 48 hours.

Fun time for his first time on ice this season.

Bud, sounds like you guys had a good afternoon out there. Sounds like the fish were active, but I fear that ice won't cooperate too much longer.

I'll probably chase perch somewhere else this weekend...

Ice was 6" on Thursday. Should be fine for several days yet IMO-

It was 50 and windy when I woke up this morning, ice may take a hit!

Sounds like IFF had more fish coming through than we did at our "spot" How deep were you fishing? We were at 15-18'

I landed a pig like Slayer's. Got a 14" rocket on a minnow. Had 3-4 hard strikes on metal but my reaction time isn't up to walleye speed. Did get one to the hole and saw the face of an est 16" before it got tangled in transducer line and got off.

Ice was re-freezing after dark but it didn't get as cold last night. 10-day forecast looks better for overnight lows and should hold or make the ice thicker next week. Let's go again mid-week next week.

Fished from 4-6 pm yesterday, released a 16” eye, had many light hits without hook sets, probably cause my line was wrapped around the Jiggin Rap treble, arghhhh. Should of been bouncing around to different holes so I would of noticed sooner. No bites on the spoon tipped with bait.
