its really no diff 5 tip ups and three poles so they actually took one away I always have 5 tip ups or downs in and two poles so what is the diff your prob not going to set up 7 tip ups and no pole

Eh, i'll definitely be setting six tip ups and jigging or maybe just setting seven tip ups.  It's an improvement if only because it finally clarifies what constitutes a tip up.

so RG  if  I set 3 tip downs and 3 tip ups I'm allowed to sit on my 4 wheelers tow bar and jig with a jigging rod and keep 5 inch perch to sell or pickle????

Yep, I am in the same boat as you are, impatient with new equipment! Won't be long now! LAKE ERIE where I live near has been slow to cool down  but now it is getting cooler lately
