Hello Gentlemen

It is time to plan for the social event of the year. The 2012 "Gathering" of Ice Shanty members.

Past attendees need little encouragement to attend. For new members, this is an opportunity to put faces to some of the "Usernames" that you have been conversing with. It is also a time to stuff your face with some of the best cooking off the ice.

It looks like the best day would be Sunday, December 16 as the Steelers play at 4:20PM. As we usually start between 11:00 & 12:00 Noon, we should get a few hours of eating and exaggerating before the game. We will once again meet at the pavilion at "McDanels Landing", Lake Arthur, Moraine State Park.

As in the past, I will bring a coffee pot and a cake.

Where is McDanels Landing, I never heard of it. I live in the Northeast Corner and am wondering if it's anywhere close to my neck of the woods.

Unortunately there's no way I'll be able to make it. Maybe we could get a group of members from the Northeast corner of the state to have a get together.

Parks guy, I'd love to attend but seeing as I really am a fishing preacher i kinda work on Sundays.

Im game for a northeast get togeather also,lake aurther is a bit out of the way for us and with diesel over 4 bucks a gallon it would cost to much for me and would not be a one day trip,so whos game for a northeast get togeather

I like the idea of getting the Northeast people together for a day. We'd have to see who's interested and where would be a good spot that's centerally located. I'm going to post a thread about it called NEPA get together and see where it goes and who'd be interested.

count me in again this year. great food, great friends. I'll probably bring peanut butter tandy cakes again. Maybe I'll even let you guys have some this time. dec 16 is kind of late. there might even be ice by then. hope so. McDaniels launch can be a pretty productive spot. wouldn't that be awesome?

well i got a new recipe for buffalo chicken pasta...i made it once so far, and it was a big hit.. so ill bring that!
