MI Weather Rollercoaster
« on: Jan 31, 2008, 12:24 PM »
Looks like this wierd pattern is going to continue. The pattern being the fish should be hitting best on the 1 - 2 days ahead of the storm. This weekend the bite should peak between Saturday afternoon and Sunday night. May as well take advantage of it. We'll just have to keep close tabs on changing ice conditions.
Looks like the last round of storms sharply improved the ice.

Lobes, hopefully the bite is on a little before your prediction. I can only get out on Sat. morning early. Hoping for some Crappie before sunrise and some gills to follow.......good luck fishing

It will all depend on the timing of when the next warm up arrives. Typically things get real hot on the ice during the 1 1/2 days before the storm / freeze that follows it. That's the pattern I've seen.
Regardless this should be a real good weekend.

hey its michigan ! same crap just a different day, week, year !!!, up down ,up down .... iam tired of this weather , when its winter it should be like winter snow and ice from late nov - march

isn't that the truth.  all i ask of mother nature is, when it's winter it should be snowy and cold all the time between november and early march.  why get 60's and 50's in early january, save them days for late march early april.
when fisherman fish alone, do they really catch fish??
