Forrest lake ice
« on: Dec 05, 2013, 05:55 PM »
Went out to forrest lake today right out front of intersection of west broadway and CR 61.  Went out a good two hundred  yards, maybe further it was and measured 8 inches of ice. Wasn't snow covered at all, but looked a little wet in some spot, but it was froze. Lots and lots of loud cracks threw the ice, so I retreated lol. I'm going to try back this weekend after we get our below temps. Hope for more ice everyone.

I love that rumbling sound,  it means it's making ice in these temps.

I was going to try Big Comfort on Wensday but the warm temps scared me away. By this weekend all lakes in the area "should" be safe.
