My family and I are thinking of going on saturday.  Never been to it, but have always wanted to go.  The reports I have heard for the past few years have always been good.  Should be a fun day for all!

I have went the last 3 or 4 years and its pretty much the same thing every year... Prices have not been great either I can get a better deal at the store?? Just wondering if these things ever come into concideration?? I have found a few deals the last day of the show with vendors trying to get rid of displays and what not, but other than that what advatages of going to big show?? I find if you go to seminars with smaller groups you get much more one on one attention and can ask all the questions you want. Just wondering what others thoughts on this event are.

No advantage to going to the show. Just to me it is a nice way to start the season.

Not much new this year. Some new shacks, the 4 stroke auger, a few new lures...

The seminars are usually similar to the previous year.

However where else will you have this much ice fishing gear and info in one place? Where else will you have so many ice angling fanatics in one place?

Live across the border and have been looking for the dates.  I finally found them out on the web as I remembered it was around the 1st of December and didn't want to miss it.  You would think they would advertise a little more.  Always have a good time even I don't buy

I am looking to purchase a VEX FL8 and was wondering if I could get a good deal at the expo.  I realize that Vex has a set price to the dealers but am interested to know if they are allowed special pricing for the show. 

Has anyone had good luck in purchasing at the show?  Any extra toss ins?

Icehunter - Check out this site at Vexilar.  My buddy bought a reconditioned FL-8SE last year and it looked just like new.  Saved a few $$$ too.  I believe they still carry a full warranty but you have to act quick on them because they aren't always available.  Tight lines.

I went on Saturday. I was going to go on Friday but the kid was sick. I didn't buy anything. Didn't look like any deals happening on Saturday.

Great show. really gave me the itch to get out on the ice.
