Final Plans for the Boysen Bash
« on: Jan 15, 2008, 09:36 AM »
Lets rock the Ice

Well the Mooter Posse is going to be set up at Fremont on Thursday afternoon (24th).  I'm rollin in a white 16 foot camper with a green roof.  I'm going to print a IS banner for the side of it.  If the sweet spot on the bank by the ramp is taken I will be on the ice just out from the ramp.  Feel free to swing by and have a brew or drop your camper next to me.  The old mans bustin out his dutch ovens so if yer lookin for chow on Saturday afternoon you know where to go.  It would be great to meet and fish with some more IS members. Don't be bashful and bring yer gear because there might be a few secrets leakin out over the weekend.   This will be a family friendly event so bring the kids.  We are talking about a additional pot for anyone that wants to throw in for a cash prize.  Anyone wants my cell number PM me and I'll shoot it over.  Hope to see a great turn out and happy fishin. :icefish:

We usually stay at the Stagecoach or the Holiday Inn in Thermopolis.  But that's a long way to drive and the canyon can get pretty icy

Try the Desert Inn in Shoshoni, I had some buddies stay there over New Years and I think for a double room it was around $68.00. It located on the edge of town as you are headed to Riverton. You might want to call and get reservations though. I dont have the number off hand..

It could very well be under a new name!!! Dont try the cafe unless you have an hour or so to burn, but the food was good.

na, the waitress we had looked like her, but was much older! We went in at 8:00am and by the time we got out of there they had switched to the lunch menu...and the fish quit biting.

Hey Mooter Ive got three possibly four of us coming from Casper. We'll stop by and say hi and see how the fishing is. I heard today from a guy I work with that there was a 9+ lb eye caught at fremont recently. Anyone know about that?  Anyways thanks for setting this up. Look forward to meeting everyone.

Bill

Most likely at the sisters. Exact spots Im not sure. Unless we find fish to keep us busy all day we'll probably be jumping around searching. Im going to finish my big shanty and if I do Im going to paint a big Gloomis fish on it. So if you see it come and say hi.
