Weather Channel is calling for a high of 7 tomorrow and -12 tomorrow night in Kemmerer... hopefully it won't be long.

I'm gonna make my first trip on Wednesday in the north west laramie area. I've got 3 lakes in mind that probably have ice that day or at least one of'em will if I can get to it. Went to the store today to get a few extras that I'm gonna need. nothing more exciting getting your gear ready for your first trip

Small lakes in the NE corner were all frozen today. Didn't test yet I was at work.

Yeah, our kids pond here in town was locked up today. I didn't do any checking either. I'm going on a scouting mission in the morning.

I want to go ice fishing, but I hope that lakes don't freeze up too early, especially smaller and shallower lakes.

Not trying to be a downer, but early ice and snow cover are a recipe for winter kill......

Feels like ice fishing today, but we'll be back in the 40's around Laramie next week, so... Be safe! I'm intrigued to see how much ice this cold snap has formed, but can't get out this weekend due to meetings.

from now until next Thursday it going to be below freezing at night. so if the crappy wind don't blow we may start locking up so coves.

Well I found ice today, but I didn't land any fish. Had one close and lost them. Man it was cold

Artic Cold Front Coming from Sunday on- Get the Gear out as there is ice on the ponds across the state and gonna build a lot thicker with whats coming!!!

Drove past the plains lakes yesterday; lots of open water and some skim. Woke up this morning to 0 degrees and no wind, but a warm and windy week ahead... next week I think we'll start making ice for real.

yeah the nice thing- All our smaller reservoirs are frozen with 4 inches of ice so hard water fishing has started in Northwestern Wyoming...
