Nice hearty chile when ice fishing is awesome . :D Goes great w/ beer during a little break.I just purchased a Coleman propane slow cooker. Can't wait to bring it out on the ice and heat up some venison chile or stew !

I had chili yesterday for the Pats game...a pound of moose burger, a pound of hot venison sausage and two pounds of venison backstraps cut into small chunks were the main ingredients...the wife regretted it after we went to bed  ;D  But, I did freeze up enough for this coming weekend on the ice...the guys in the shack will appreciate the sounds and smell much more than the mrs.  ;D

I start cooking the chilli in the slow cooker when I get out out there, I love and so does everyone else, I bring a big pack of ball park franks and throw em right in with the chilli first thing in the morning, and we mow chilli dogs all day. yuuuummmaaaaayyyyyyy, the next day ain't so good though

I LOVE CHILLI.     However, I am a service tech.  I was servicing a system while the homeowner watched.  We were talking...and things were going well....when, I bent over and a huge chilli and beer fart slipped out........and then silence.......no conversation.......jus t silence.  After a minute had passed the customer "had something to do" at that point.  So now I try to lay off the chilli during the week and just save it for ice fishing.

chili is better the longer it sits and the more times it gets warmed up
