pretty much sweet and sour fish like youd get at a chinese joint. you could substitute any fish, but pike is my fav so thats what i use. boneless filets to start. also if ya want you can just use a store bought tempura mix

     3/8 cup Flour
     1/8 cup Cornstarch
     1/4 tsp Baking Powder
     1/8 tsp Baking Soda
     1 Egg White
     1/2 tsp Salt
     1/2 cup Water
     1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
     1 tsp Parsley
     1/2 tsp Paprika

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well blended. Cut pike into 1 or 2 inch chunks .Dip fish in flour and coat each side, then dip in fish in batter and fry in oil until golden brown. Place fried fish on paper towels to drain off excess oil.

Serve hot with tempura sauce sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce.

side with white rice

also use any remaining batter for any vegetables like mushrooms broccoli ect

smaller strips, just thick enough to make them golden brown on the outside and medium on the inside
