Headed back home for Xmas (Yankton)

Wondering if there’s any ice around Yankton.
Teach a kid to fish and hunt and they will be resourceful, smart and confident. Today's world is much different than the one I knew as a child. They need these skills even more than I did.

I can't say specifically, but theres a little stocked pond just south of sioux falls that wasn't fairing very well, maybe three inches, a week ago and we have had above freezing temps all week. If you really want to get out, I would head somewhere around Humboldt/Hartford. Those lakes have stayed pretty firm.

Most smaller lakes or ponds have ice but is very sketchy lake Yankton is mostly open and Maryndahl has some very thin spots.
