Sensi Thin on Tip Up?
« on: Jan 06, 2014, 03:26 PM »
I have some 20lb Berkley Sensi Thin line sitting around.  Anyone ever tried heavy summer line, like this, on a tip up?
My gear:

Marcum LX-9
Otter XT Cabin
Frabill Bunker 310
10" Eskimo propane HC40

It's my goto line on my spinning reels, not sure about tip ups though. Probably better off to stick with tip up line.

For leaders I'm sure it's fine, I wouldn't spool up with it though.
I'm a man, but I can change, If I have to, I guess.

Agreed!  I tried it on the tip up, but the line has too much memory.  I'm going to keep it on as a leader.

I have had luck with green colored mono on a tip up. Its much better than the coated junk. I still prefer regular dacron.
