Striper season?
« on: Apr 18, 2015, 09:53 AM »
What's your guy's thoughts on when the herring and stripers will start showing up around Albany area? Any tips for catching the stripers from shore? Never caught one before only herring. I've had runs on my live herring before but they always drop

Herring are just now showing up .... there are probably a few stripers as well but the bulk of the fish will show within a week or two.

Stripers247.com has tons of info including lots of tips on shore fishing and spots as well.

Think about the 787 bike path as a destination.
Goin' where the wind don't blow so strange,
Maybe off on some high cold mountain chain.
