There were people fishing mudlick and wyerough over the weekend. I haven't fished the lake yet but talked to some people who said mudlick had 5" of ice. Nobody is fishing the main lake yet. Good luck and stay topside ;D

Anybody know if glendale is gona be filled back up this year?
-
Not Gospel, but I heard it was supposed to start filling soon. I guess they had some delays getting their work completed. Lou
-
How much did they drain out..like 7-8 feet?

yessir, fishing has been good, gotta love a drawn down lake
-
does anyone know if they are gona fill the lake back up before the ice or not?
-
The Park website says that the drawdown will last until late February, also both the Beaver Valley launch and Main Marina areas are closed until construction is completed. Should make things interesting this year.
-
The walleye should be easy to find this year!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I sent the park an email last week asking about the drawdown and here is the information I received today:
"Thank you for your interest in ice fishing Glendale Lake this winter. Currently, the lake is drawn down 7 feet and the current marina(s), boat launch, and beach projects impacting the lake level is going well and is on schedule for this time of year.
As long as there aren’t any major setbacks with the remainder of the contractor schedule, we are hopeful that lake levels can be gradually brought up approximately 4-5 feet by sometime in December where the level will be maintained over winter when the lake freezes. This would leave only 2-3 feet of water left to reach the normal operating level of the lake in the spring."
-
Keep our fingers crossed
-
7 - 8' less water wouldn't matter that lake is deep.
-
I'm not worried about the lake being drawn down..it's starting to fill it back up after its locked up..we have our trip scheduled for the weekend of the13th there remember..I'm really looking forward to it! ;D
-
Drove by the lake today, greg. It is empty. Stay home! ;D
-
Lol

welcome back! I wish they would get the lake up to normal winter pool soon or just wait till spring. I know its gonna lock up and then they will decide to fill it up. I know skipper wouldn't mind if they left it drawn down for ice season. Later-Pig
-
You got it buddy makes the job easier.
-
Yeah well the fish will be easier to locate and pattern if they are only in half the lake ;D

need all the help I can get, greg. Gonna give skipper another shot this weekend and if we don't get on em I may just pull the plug on the boat and let it sink to the murky depths. You been out anywhere?
-
no not since keuka a couple weekends ago. We got the trout and salmon smoked now, and boy is it good! ;D
-
I'll bet it is good.
-
Mixed feelings on 1/2 a lake,on one hand would or should make for some good fishing, other hand might lead to a hurting on them and although I've never felt crowed on Glendale might make things a little more neighborly.
-
I'll bet it is good.
I'll try to save some for ice season, but I can't promise I can do it..lol ;D
-
we will have a good time getting the fish picked up from the empty lake then does jig want to help lol
-
I'm in. You guys let me know when. Hope the lake cooperates for you guys.
-
What exactly are they doing as far as filling it back up? they letting it fill now or they keeping it down over ice season? This is my main lake i fish.
My buddy have been fishing up there open water after the draw down and got into some nice perch i guess.

-
I have 3 new frabils to do also gonna get rid of the ht's the frabils are much more user friendly
-
They are goin the wrong diirection! As of yesterday the lake was down an additional 2 feet. I hope they don't screw this up for us... ???
-
That's not good!
-
50% of full I'll take it.
-
I'm afraid to reserve a cabin up there to far ahead...who knows, we may not have enough or any ice by then if it doesn't get colder soon!
-
There was skim ice on the ponds around here this morning.
-
+1, its coming but got a feeling it'll be after first of year.
-
Probably will be for Glendale.
-
I dont post much but i cant stand the wait for the cold weather. If ur like me the wife has been praying for it and ive been ready to go since last ice!! Keeping the faith an fingers crossed guys!
-
Welcome John0827
-
Just checked the chart online..It looks like they have raised it about 1 ft. so far..I hope this is goin to continue til ice up. Hopefullt that is the next couple weeks.
-
Thank u for the welcome. I enjoy this site. Cant wait to get out . Last year was fishing the week of christmas. Dont look like it this year. Truly gettin antsy waitin for the ice!
-
yeah its gonna be a toss up for this year, hopefully it all works out. open water season has definately been good this year with the draw down... hopefully that continues into the ice season. if not i'll be stuck at canoe creek hunting for musky and eyes :( does anyone know the toothy critter population at yellow creek state park, that would be my next place of interest if Glendale doesn't work out??
-
I keep checking the weather forecast and it dont look promising... This is december right the last time i checked
-
We'll get there, Glendale usually is one of the last lakes to be ready to fish.
-
hopin to get out on Glendale ASAP on first ice so please someone keep us posted, about an hour drive for me.
-
Hopefully we will be on the ice in early January.
-
That would be great! I'm ready now that deer season is over..well flintlock yet but I'm ready for ice..
-
I'm gonna deer hunt too, flintlock and rifle in the special regs area.
-
sooo, anything going on here??? either there's nothing going on, or there's ice here, and people are keeping it secret..
-
highly doubt anybody is keeping it a secret, usually one of the later places to have good ice. Loving the fact we aren't getting snow (knock wood) but really miss the cold weather.
-
Yeah, it's one of the last to freeze usually
-
Much to my surprise, as of about an hour ago, 98% of Glendale is ice covered. Small area under the causeway(no surprise) and a small area in front of the flagpole are open. The rest of the lake and coves, even by the breast is locked up shore to shore. The edges are too thin to even drill a hole, but out from the edges looks like a little more than skim ice, maybe an inch or so?? The water level is still down below normal, but not as low as it was in the fall. Looks like it had a good start if it would have stayed cold this week. Hopefully the cold weather gets here sooner than the end of the week!!!!! ???

Wow, this season has been really strange..but hopefully it will continue to build ice. bigbassbowman..get the base camp really to spend a couple days ;D I see they are still filling the lake back up also, so that will also effect the ice
-
rumor has it bassbowman got a new tent this year
-
Word is the cold weather won't b around long. I really can't believe middle of Jan. And no icefishing yet... Really bumming
-
