Striker guardian youth bibs

Hey guys:
Was thinking about biting the bullet and getting the guardian bibs for my 7 yr old daughter for safety just in case. Pricey but you can't put a price on safety obviously with kids. My question is: do the guardian bibs provide enough flotation on their own or do you need to have the parka as well to get the needed flotation? Just wondering what everyone's experience is with this product. Thanks guys!
