Title: Late April burbot?
Post by: akjw7 on Mar 27, 2017, 02:14 PM
Just picked up an arctic oven and only have one chance to use it this winter - around April 20 for a few days. It's getting late in the season and I probably won't venture out on the Tanana that late. Was thinking crosswind or lake Louise. Maybe George lake for pike?

Is it too late for crosswind and Louise? Any other Suggestions?

Late April fishing is a great time even if it is slow fishing.  Burbot may be post spawn depending where you go and what part of April.  Bait closes on LL mid April...16th I think.  I take the kids out and when the days are warm and long it's a good day on the ice.   Good luck!
