North of Long Point this am. No eyes, couple short perch around 5 inches everywhere. Tried burtis in pm, didn't like it. Anyone know what's up with cones out from launch? Ended up at bemus by casino. Few short perch, around 4.5 inches, some of it junky looking.

Been waiting to hear from GameHog this season! You still around?! Going to head up after work tomorrow and do some fishing somewhere. The perch/panfish bite has been real good so far!

I’m here. Still living the dream brother.
So far this ice season has been a struggle. Haven’t dialed in yet. One thing that has my concern is only one perch landed in 20+ outings. Is it a good thing or not. Time will tell. Be safe, have fun and enjoy every moment to it’s fullest !!!

Good to hear from ya! Been mainly perch and panfish fishing myself. The walleyes have given me too much heartache in recent years, so I figure I’m ready to just have fun and watch the perch on my camera. They seem to me to be super plentiful this year. We did very well last Sunday and caught a good amount of “keepers”. Also am seeing A LOT of huge largemouth bass on camera and an occasional walleye in the shallows...

I saw the same thing Game Hog.  Managed to put in about 20 hrs. of ice time last weekend and Friday.  Only caught 1 perch and didn't seem to mark any.  Did manage to get a bunch of short eyes and 2 decent keepers.  Last year got a bunch of perch in the same area/depth so not sure what's up.

Won't be back at it for a couple of weeks so hopefully the ice holds.

LP this morning for four hours 2- perch had some marks but they were tight lipped, switched things up a few times they still just looked. walked all over the area to different depths same story from shallow to deep. Did anybody do well in another area?

Holy moly it was absolutely on fire tonight. Left with 34 nice keeper perch, and I’m sure I caught around a hundred in only an hour and a half. Saw a MASSIVE musky on camera but other than that, just a ton of perch.

Ice is fine, it was no different than Saturday. Fishing about 8-9’ of water. Polluted with fish.

If that Muskie had an orange demon jig hanging from his lip that was my mid morning heart attack at Mayville this past Saturday...

Never fished Mayville. Is there a chance to get into any Walleye in that area?

Hi All.  Is anyone able to give me an ice report from today or tomorrow? I'm planning to come up with my boys from Ohio on Monday and am trying to determine if we should come up. I've never fished this lake before but have been there several times in the winter. Thanks for any input you have.

I was out at Mayville and Prendergast point today. Ice about 5” where I was at both places. 2” clear with 3” white. Plus about 4” slush under about 6” snow. Snowed all day today. Made for some difficult walking and dragging the sled. Travel light and decent rubber boots are a must. Shore ice still sketchy some places so best to follow the path others are taking. Lots if dinks at Mayville with the occasional keeper.

Thanks for the report Icefever. Due to Murphy`s law couldn`t make it down, and ended up fishing my pond in southern tier. Was wondering about the slush. Same where I was except ice was a lot thinner!

Fished LP this a.m.
Walk wasnt terrible.. slush and snow is heavy and is pushing Ice down.
Lots of water laying under the snow..
Ice was a decent 5" (I measured ice so it's an accurate report)
3 1/2" - 4" of black with 1"- 1 1/2" of white on top.. LOTS of lookers , a few chasers, but nobody was hungry this a.m. EXCEPT ME

Thank you all for the great info. One last question is which side of LP are most going on? North or South? We'll be making the trip up tomorrow and will be sure to bring lots of snacks.

Went off mayville again tonight and found it leaning against a tree in the parking lot. Thank you to whoever picked it up!
