Changed the menu. Had a giant chef's salad with chicken and ham strips, 'cukes, 'maters, green peppers, purple onion, bacon chunks, lettuce, radish slices, and dressing.

Chicky is good brushed with Italian dressing, or sweet and sour sauce, or teriyaki glaze. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I use these alot...and the sweet and sour is good dippin' sauce for pork.

I mix the teriyaki with Worcestershire and soy sauce in equal parts that I marinate my steak chunks in that for the shish kabobs....

Huh! Never heard of those! Looks good!

I used to take boneless chicky breast, marinate it for just a bit in lime juice, then slow pan cook, topped with Mexican seasoning and cilantro. (Can't find the Mexi seasoning anymore,pinch of taco seasoning works) When just about done, top with chunky salsa, then some shredded cheddar on top of that, finish cooking covered in pan so cheese melts. Um num.

Kinda like the UP pasties thing? I love those. Had 'em at Mackinac Island and in St Ignace where I stayed.

Lots of good food specific to certain areas. Lots wild things, too. That's why I love our State fair! We put everything on a stick there. Giant stuffed olives, pickles, roasted corn, deep fried snicker bars, battered walleye, and even casserole on a stick. I had deep fried alligator on a stick a few years ago. It was awful. Spent that nite in the bathroom.
