IS WESTERN GET-TOGETHER.

I do believe the perfect time for all of us westerners to get together would be the boysen winter carnival  Ice fishing tournament and a hot spring close by for the wives.  Let me know what you think.  I am definitely going but it would be great to meet allot of you guys.  Huge trout, walleyes and perch.  Got the goods on a sweet spot and a fresh batch of "Stump Puller" brewed up.

They call it Stump Puller because you can pour a shot under a stump that needs removed and touch fire to it.  Poof no more stump.  It's a mixture of grain achohol and honey.  The Germans call it bear catcher.  150 proof and really easy to drink

You can count me in if I'm on days off. Working 28 and 28's I have a 50% chance of being off. Besides you guys can get me learned back up on fishin' Boysen. I'd like to meet you all also. Besides who could resist some "stump puller".

sounds interesting - never fished boysen or ocean, but am planning on coming down to fish both before ice-on if i can get my boat problems figured out.   what dates???

Well that sucks as I head back to the desert the 9th of Jan. for 28 days and come back the 7th. of Feb. And to think I could almost taste that stump puller.

not sure i can make it to Wy from Va....but that stump puller looks VERY interesting.  Id love your recipe.  I just did a google on 'german bear catcher' and found one recipe. 

looks like you guys have a great place to fish.  but a loooonnnnnggggg way from out east....

Stump Puller is High Octane Mead....Can't Gut the Stuff!!

Don't know if I'll be able to make the get together...long way to go from where I'm at....not as far as some others but still a long drive in the dead of winter...

yeah, i might have to just try the stump-puller, but if i want to stay on my game for the tourney, i think i'll stick to my jager-budlight norm   :D   i'm sure you can empathize w/ me moot - i've seen those soft-core beverages in your pictures

I think I'll leave the family at home. I seem to run the wild side of the fence when when I'm lone gunn'n. I'll will talk a couple af friends into going though. never been on boysen and don't own a ton of gear... how 'bout some advice on a packing list and what types of tackle/rods to tote along. currently all i have is a small jig rod, flasher, some crappie/perch type lures a few jiggin' raps and a 5gal bucket.  i am picking up some tip-ups tho for keyhole and some of those Big Ice skimmer-blues type of 'eyes! the booze part is taken care of!

If you can get an ice house it would be good to have as the wind tends to blow just a little..Also good for night fishing..I think your allowed 3 poles or maybe its six on boysen..I'm sure mooter can tell ya. Dont forget your camera ;D
