Covenrty Lake Ice Derby

The State of CT will be holding an Ice fishing derby! Ice fishing jigs will be available for use or you can bring your own, and fishing instruction and demos will be available. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish,and breakfast will be served courtesy of the Parks & Recreation Dept. This is designed to be a family derby, so bring the entire family out for a morning of fun! Derby will be held on Saturday, January 30th, 8AM-11AM at the Patriots Park Lodge.
*No Registration Necessary.

This is actually not a very competitive derby.  It's ran by  C.A.R.E.. Ct- Aquatic- Resource -Education. There will be lots of C.A.R.E. instructors to help newly educated ice fisherman and families that day. They set up ice fishing classes around the state, and then everyone who attends them go to this. It's like the hands on training  outing...   If anyone really knows how to catch fish at Coventry consistantly, GO TO THIS  !        They'd love to see some fish pulled through!
