Well hello all of my frozen brethern. How goes it? Getting awfully close to that time me thinks.  ;D

And as for there being no shows this year I can only say one thing......well, not really. This is a family site after all.  :%$#!:

Seemed like the show got bigger and better every year...too bad.  I'll miss the Thorne Bros booth.

Well I thought I would have gotten out on the lake this week but must be our boat had different plans. We lost our power trim so it's off to turn wrenches tomorrow and get it patched up lol.  By the sound of it the bite is slow on the east end?

Def getting the itch now.  my partner bought another ice shanty fri night.  trying to figure out if the show is still on in Hamburg NY.  Thorne bros still has it up as a event and the web pages for it that i have looked up has nothing saying it was cancelled that I could see.  I emailed them to see.  will post with further details as I find out.  Gander in Cicero has some shantys out and it looks like they are starting to stock up on ice stuff.  another month and they will hopefully have everything out so i can start spending money everytime I stop in there.

Gander got new stuff out or just last year's leftovers?  Looking to "see and feel" one of those new LX7s from Marcum.  ;D  I don't think the show in Hamburg is flying.  Someone on here is part of the organizing and he said it had been cancelled.  Too bad they don't incorporate with the power sports show they just had.

The days are growing shorter and colder  ;D

Gander got new stuff out or just last year's leftovers?

It looks like just some new shantys and some left over lures and line.  When I was there friday afternoon they had a lil bit up of last years line and lures.  But looked like they had a hole shelf opened up for it.  Hmmm Ill have to stop back in this week one night.  Anyone ever use tent waterproof spray on there shanty?

I used 4 cans of the Kiwi Camp Dry on my new shelter - 3 years ago.  It was recommended by the outfit I purchased from - Canvas Craft.

you can shoot hens there now.  I wont go opening morning but i do go every weekend because they stock all season.  If I have free time this weekend I will go up to perch river or ashland flats but thats not looking to promising.
