Yeah, I took advantage of the temps. It's crazy, 3 days ago it was slush 6" deep, and mushy snow drift blocking the landing. Today its frozen up completely and fish wearing sneakers! Tomorrow should be a VERY good chance. Get some buddies rounded up and make a move Mid Coast and Southern Hardsides!! :flex:

Pulled our 8x10 off long lake.Hardly any slush there unlike last weekend.Still 12" of ice but didnt want to wait after hearing next weeks weather.Caught 4 white perch and 1 salmon didnt slay them, but really nice out .Didnt need to use wood stove, rigid insulation painted black on a sunny day was perfect. Will get out one more mission but somewhere else.Be safe did step in some partial frozen holes but only broke in a liitle didnt get wet.

Butch Desanctis went threw the ice coming off Sebago this morning. He spent 15 minutes in chest high water before getting out. Its time to start fishing with a buddy and safety picks again. Keep the throw ropes handy.

Got mine off Sunday. Could have stayed at least another week but I had my BIL here to help and I had to get to sappin' anyway so we pulled 'er off. Easy as pie. Oh well, I can still fish. Won't be the same as jiggin' out of the shack though.
