WHY would you want him to be correct!?!?!? Snow ruins the fishing and makes it a pain in the ass. I'm all for cold temps, but NO SNOW!

Ditto on the snow, it insulates the ice and makes for very unpredictable ice !

I was just hoping the cold december forecast is right.  Heard from another source were gonna be having a la nina year so last time we had one of them it was ideal fishing cold with not much precip. The snow can stay the hell away ;)

With the weather we're having right now, I'm all for some cooling.   Definitely ready for some hard water fishing.

Until they come up with a good way to air condition boats, I think hard water fishing is going to be my preferred method.  Except for the week or two a year that I go to Canada!!

I'm with 'ya, 'cept for two of the seven days we were in Canada the third week in July it was 85º F, no wind, and bluebird skies.  We baked!!

I was up there the second week in July...72 - 75 everyday, rain every night, windy the last three days.  Fishing was great, but the wind causing 3' waves the last three days made the time in the boat a little less than comfortable.  That's another beauty of fishing the hard water, wind doesn't send waves crashing over the bow.

I am all for the cold this year.  Need just enough snow to bank the house in and so I do not slide on the bare ice.  Anything more is just a waste.

That was uncalled for. I think that you need to sit in an mosquito infested boat. NO MORE SNOW!!!

Just enough snow for the grouse to have a place to stay warm, not enough to slow down the deer so the wolves, and coyotes get fat.

I have been waiting for cold since the ice melted.  I didn't mind the snow so much, and yes I had to shovel my driveway, but it made a great time for my girls and I to make many snow men, go sledding, snowmobiling, snow tubing, and icefishing. In my eyes it kept the ice around  a little longer than normal here in southern Iowa.   Last year was the longest season I had for ice fishing since moving from Minnesota 10 years ago.  Bring  on the cold and if the snow comes with it , that would be ok too. Hope we have a long season like last year. I got that jigging feeling :o ;D Come cold I am waiting!

Yeh I could do without the snow.  At least hold it off till we can get our big shacks out then it can snow a "few" inches.

Now that sounds great. Wait til we have 3 feet of solid ice and then the couple of inches.
