Hermaphrodite Fish???
« on: Feb 13, 2007, 05:24 PM »
After looking up some articles about the effects of pesticides on fish growth I came across this article:

http://detnews.com/2005/project/0508/14/Z04-275435.htm

It's about levels of estrogen like compounds causing "sexual abnormalities" in Lake St. Clair/Detroit River perch.  Makes me wish I didn't eat those perch eggs over the weekend >:(

Speaking of fish genders. How do you tell the difference between male and female perch? I am told there is a way and my aunt always asks which I caught.

Team M.I.R.C Rock bass. It's whats for dinner.
