I just got my butt kicked by some nearby fisherman on Sunday.  They outfished our group 3 to 1...and they were using only dead smelt, suspended on small trebles.  They said they buy theirs from Feldpausch Stores (deli section).  You'll have to go talk to the Mgr. of the Seafood section and they can order a case of it.  I'm going to try it at Kroger this weekend.

SMELT beats live bait!  I'm a believer!!!
