could someone explain why, when the wind gusts outside my shanty, ten feet below the ice I see the weeds move in conjunction with the wind.  Thanks weedless Winchester.

its the water at the top of your hole moving from the wind. it just looks like the weeds.

Actually what you're seeing is real magic. Most fish ARE magicians. That's why when you're drilling holes all over a lake that you know is full of fish they seem to just disappear.

the wind can creat underwater waves just as a sled or car would when driving accross the lake.
