Im re-spooling my spinning reels, and would like to hear what others are using.  I fish for perch, crappie, and gills.

Thanks

I don't have a lot to compare it to but had good luck with Suffice Ice Magic 3lb. This season I'm going down to alb on the UL.

Mine are set up with #2,#4 and #6 lb P-Line.   Use the #2 lb the most.

I've been using the Tirlene Cold Water since 1996 and never had any problems with it.

HAHAHAHA  I went to my spool my reels with my new line, and found that 'someone' needed my reels more than I did!  So now I have a shopping bag full new line, and no reels (or rods) to put then on!!

Oh the irony!

Im now looking for suggestions for new reels.....  My old stuff was good (Tica Cetus/Shimanos....), is there anything better?

Tica cetus, shimano sedona and sienna, and pflueger presidents are great spinning reels. You could also get an inline reel like a black betty 6061,cgi inline reel, or an okuma slv.

No, the rods too.   Nothing really special, but replacing 8 rods and reels will cost me.

I keep them in a hard sided gun case, imagine their surprise when they opened it up expecting to see a gun!

I like the Eagle Claw inline reel, it looks like the Blackbetty but there isn't the price tag shock.  I can't wait to try it out this year.

what a shame! if your low on cash try open water line and those ht blues rods. ht makes a nice reel that was on sale for 15$, but that should be over with now. still, 6 bearings for 21$ is a good deal and infinite anti-reverse and the stem is designed for ice rods with a sharper angle on it to face the first guide better.
if you lived near me i'd give you some line and rods and a few jigs.

I've used Triline XL in a pinch and it worked fine, no noticeable difference between that and the Cold Weather line other than the color.

I've got a bag of Sufix, 3 and 4 pound, and 2# micro, and a 6# ice just waiting for my reels and rods to come in.

Thanks.
