 ??? now that winter is here its too cold to fish ::) the wind is howling the snow is drifting  :'( i guess im a fair weather fisherman :P

I did last day I went on last yr. About mar 11th the last 3  feet from shore was open when I came off and I was down and swimmin ........ not good

It's NEVER too cold to fish!!! I may be too OLD to fish. In that case I will be ROLLED to the fish. I love it when I am TOLD to go fish. But it's NEVER EVER too cold to fish.  DC

the only waters I drove by today that weren't locked up tight were rivers...and the 1 lake I went to where the shoreline is measured in miles with a max depth over 100'  ;)

was way too cold when I woke up at 230am so went back to bed...now its 1 degree warmer so I'm headed out  ;D

gonna be nice being on ice and actually having to dress for winter since its still in the single digits  ;D

GET OUT AND ENJOY IT... Just checked the forecast, and next weekend is looking to be the worst warm up/ period of rain weve had yet.

As my father put it, "when I was your age, we had snow during the wintertime, not rain"

i'm up st  lawrence area at the end of I-81. got here fri nite with grandson during lake effect snowstorm from syracuse on up. never seen it snow harder. woke up this morning to -22 air temp. brought my wheeler and it never started. fished lake of the isles off the st lawrence yesterday caught lots of perch but no slobs. ice was about 12''. suvs and cars on the ice over there today. we fished red lake today and did really good. lots of perch gills up to 10'' 3 bullheads which i couldn't believe when they got to the hole one bite off and 2 heavy feel pull offs. coming home tomorrow after half day of fishing. this place is truly a paradise for anglers. one of my best trips with grandson.

Good to hear your having a great time builder. I was thinking about you as I drove past the beach area and looked at the roadbed and open water at Sayers yesterday  >:(. at least your on some ice and with your little fishin buddy. Take care and be safe!

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr its cold out lol i fish like the locals the coyote guy put me on the program showed me the ropes like a topo and gps live not to mention chuckles and the pink plastic ??? ::) :o he jerked them perch and crappie too in da gravel ;D sssssssssssssshhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i dont believe ya ive fished 60 degrees days the thicker the ice the warmer it can get ive tanned in march on 16" of ice 69degrees out  @) ill bet no complaints out there today holes stay open dress lightly no heater umha lets fish
