was a fun trip with all you guys yesterday. thanks to combsey for the assist and letting me get his flag. landed my first lg laker 24 inches and thanks to jon for the ride.
I'm Planning on fishing Hague in Forest Bay just north of Friends point this weekend. Last weekend there was 3-4 inches of ice off forest bay with the middle of the lake wide open.By Sunday the whole lake had frozen over again. I was hoping for everything to be frozen over by this weekend with 5 inches of ice. Is that too hopeful? Any northern lake observation would be great. Most people don't report that far north. Has anyone seen or been there? I'm concerned about the weight of 12" of snow on the ice. Thanks
Cool pic to bad you didn't get a pic when the water shot or of the cracks and tgs518 ( Sherril ) needed to change his underwear. Fun day out on the ice. Hope this snow doesn't mess everything up
I fished yesterday and one of those times my bucket must have moved 3 or 4 inches. Felt like an earthquake!!!
I was out tuesday, and there was a couple times the ice shifted violently and pushed up somewhere, because it sounded like cannon fire, you could hear it echoing off the mountains down the lake.
Fun isn't it Mike, it weeds out the men from the boys. We had 1 guy leave when he saw water shoot up 6' or so, like Combsey said, he probably had to change his shorts. 1 guy wouldn't even come out, I think when he saw the bottom, it was looking through a plate glass window, he was a little intimidated!
So if we do get some snow do you think some idiot will see how far he can go on the lake before his sled goes in the drink
Awesome pics! Is lg getting slammed with snow? The radar doesn't mean crap righg now its saying my area is getting snow and I haven't seen a flake all day?
And here's a video, again from Combs. Laker released headed back down:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzz_aeAFYVE
