we dont love them garden tools.... we stayed away from the south park land of lollipops and remained sucker free.
best of both worlds today, day one of vacation was a success!
that one was for you, slayer.
smallest fish was 18 inches, biggest one was 22 at bill's. caught both bo's and lakers. spoons and jerks took em off the rocks. was very surprised by the size of the bo's we found. also caught a bonus 18 inch brown trout, which i threw back.
and the ice report....
the lake i fished open water was in grand county known as billy's eating utensil, it is getting skim ice in coves.. pike flats was covered this morning. water was cold AF. next cold snap and calm night below zero will seal it for the year.
willow creek is wide open. so is granby. didnt get far enough to see shadow/grand lake.
the OG has 6 inches of beautifully clear ice. but im sure you would rather chase harlots in hartsel and thats perfectly fine with me. the bliss of having lakes to myself is one i cherish more than fishing itself.
