I have a 15" perch done on a piece of driftwood.  I don't have any pics but I highly reccomend panfish on driftwood.  Talk to the taxidermist and pick out the piece of wood you want.  I have seen some bad pieces of driftwood on some mounts.

The reason this fish are so big is that my buddy throws feed in the farm pond he's got. There is no real predators except bass, but i wound't eat the fish, the water is kinda gross and has fertilizer in it.  I talked to a taxidermist and he said I should catch some more nice gills and have like 3 or 4 gills on a piece of drift wood.  he also said the fish might shrink an inch.  It already shrunk a bit from the cold freezer i think.  I'll try and get a pic up when the mount is complete. I gotta get back out on that pond though!  My uncle has a 47 inch pike in his freezer from last summer and is finally having that mounted too.
