Maybe I'll take a drive up and look, since there is no real report. Seems it should have some ice on it. If I do will post by tomorrow night.

Last I heard it was open water again I will check tomorrow to see if we can launch our boats

Lets go Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Oh and Tuesday, Wednsday, Thursday, and.... I'll drag my boat out too. Or we can just take yours. Upper Holter is wide open.

Saw it was open last week on my way back from the North and popped some wood when I saw it was open. Haven't fished Holter all winter and was thinking, I need to get on it.

LOL............heading to Newlan today..........cuz that's all I can squeeze in......this bathroom remodel has taken on a life of it's own....LOL......But, if this weather keeps up..........I plugged the boat in yesterday to make sure the batteries are in top shape..........is Holter launchable?

thanks robbi !! went with a friend last year i paid for gas , and caught most of the fish lol but he moved so im out a luck again !!! ps we did good ,we got some jumbo perch and some nice eyes , was a fun trip. i didnt know about fishing the gates was my first time.

Hey Robbi- just FYI, Holter is covered with ice as of yesterday... 5 inches of ice at departure point.

No, I didn't really want to admit it, but I went up there thinking it would be wide open like Robbi.... I had planned on fishing from shore with the sure idea that it was wide open! I drove up thinking what a great day it was going to be, and then topped the hill where the old lodge used to be.... I have to say it really was pretty with the sun coming up, and the fresh snow on the ice, but I still said some bad words.... I drove to departure just to look around check on things. There were some older fellas on lawn chairs sitting at departure and they told me about the 5 inches of ice. They also said that the fishing was really slow... I will probably fish it next week. Will post if I do.

hey guys took family for ride yesterday seen some ice but scary looking . the holes we seen drilled were very very close to shore . they were just out from park. wife said no way in hell are you fishing over here . . i wanted to check it for you guys sorry !!!!
