Welcome Jason & Todd.

Glad to have You here. For anyone who isn't aware? Northern Fabrications are the ones who generously donated the aluminum Bob house frame as our grand prize for our Team NH Get Together last year.

They make some of the most impressive ice houses that I've every seen. If anyone is in the market for one? Definitely check them out.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the kind words...we are off to a good start this year, and really building some amazing stuff! Most of which is not on our site yet because the site is still under construction. Our new shop is working out great, and we have really expanded our capabilities this year. We are looking forward to an awesome ice season, and we are glad to be a sponsor of the shanty. We will be in touch about this years gathering for sure, and lets hope for some good ice!

We sold the big maroon ice shanty, and we are building a new "demo" for this year, it will be over the top, and I will try to post some pics of our progress....It will be a nice one.

Thanks again,

Jason and Todd..

When the time comes bud... We will help you out, it would be fun to build it for you ! Been a while since we have done a Camo unit... The bright colors are in this year. Building a fire service (red with diamond plate) inspired skid house right now for a fire fighter. Pretty cool rig...

Do you have a general price list for your shanty's?

Does your company offer spray foam insulation?

 :icefish:

Yes, we do have some standard pricing, but most of our ice houses are built to the customers specifications. We offer rigid foam insulation, but due to the cost, we are not currently offering spray foam. It is tough to find a spray foam contractor near our facility that will do a small project for a reasonable price.

feel free to give us a call in regards to a quote on your specific needs.

thank you,

Sorry bud... The new owner was supposed to pick it up at 2 today, I think he was excited and he showed up at lunchtime, we hadn't even polished it up yet. Helped him load it up, and was lucky to snap a pick as it drove away.

It was awesome though, and I hated to see it go because I was slightly jealous. As big as it was, 2 of us slid it right out of the shop just by pushing. Tons of space. He promised to send me some pics though.

Have a good one bud,

Jason

Too funny... He said he had a big family, and planned on hitting 2 or 3 big Derbys with it this season. Sounds like a good time to me! Hope he does well. On the topic of derbies, we have offered to donate a nice 6x8 custom house to the rotary ice fishing derby prize list this year. I will post pics once we finish, so be sure to buy your derby ticket this year, need to put a vote out on what color to side it with.

Mine is Maroon with a Black Roof.  7 1/2 x 9 1/2.  The family fished a lot more last year even though it was a short season.  Lots of room and everyone is comfortable on those really cold days.  I'm on Pawtuckaway if you are ever over there stop by and check it out.

Looking good bud, glad you like it. I like the modifications you made, when we built that ice shack, the first owner insisted on small lexan Windows for security reasons. We don't usually put them in. You were smart to change them out, you should see the one we built him after he traded yours in, it was over the top! I will post some pics when I find them.

I would like to come fish with you sometime! You need to change your screen name now.. Ha ha

Thanks, Jason

Yeah.  I do have to change the name.  You are welcome anytime.  I remember you telling me he wanted a much larger one than mine, I look forward to seeing what he did.  I used the layout he had last season before I changed anything.  I'm sure I used it more than he did even though it was a short season.  Also,  if there are people near me that are considering on getting a build they are welcome to see it.  I think I'm going to make a wind block around the bottom that snaps on and off like a boat cover, it should be an awesome add on.

Thanks! That demo model the orange one, is built on a 3 place 2 axle snowmobile trailer. It is 8.5 x 16 feet plus the bump out and the v-nose. It will be on the heavier side at around 1500 lbs. my guess. Most of our builds are significantly lighter than the one. We can build you whatever you like, just give us a call and we can go over your ideas and we will do the best we can for you.

Thanks, Jason

Yup... Definitely getting more and more serious about getting one of these for next year.

Now that my son is older and My wife comes along with us I need a nice warm/comfortable place for them to relax in between fishing.

I currently either use My truck or portable but I can definitely see My Family in one of these next season.  :)

Will tickets be available at the derbys?
Title: Re: Welcome Northern Fabrication Solutions
Post by: jimmyrig on Jan 25, 2017, 05:53 PM

I can only speak for the freedom fire dept. derby. They will be on sale at the derby on loon lake in freedom February 25. And are on sale now until the 25th. As far as Meredith, they are limiting quantities of tickets and selling them a few days before the rotary derby.

Thanks guys,
Jason

Can you tie an aqua view cameras (or something like it) into the TV for a display? That would be really neat.

I completely agree, but how is it possible to get reception? As of now we only use it for the camera and DVD player. How could you get the game?

still making shacks ?

Hey Tim,

I can only speak for myself, as I am on my own now, as well as back teaching shop class and helping to inspire and introduce the building trades to high school students in the lakes region area.

I still do custom builds and all types of welding, machining and fabrication with my sons at home, And work alongside my best buddy and his dad at James Farinella and sons building and remodeling during school vacations and weekends. Our capabilities and craftsmanship are second to none!

You can pm me anytime with questions,

Have a good one,

Jason

Thanks for the kind words guys, I miss those get togethers too! I am not associated with northern fabrication any more, but would like to possibly donate again in the future if we have another get together.

It has been nice to keep things simple and to be able to teach and work with my sons! Heck.... we even get out fishing and hunting now, and still get plenty of work done in the garage.
