Reports/Conditions for Piseco haven’t been updated yet this season. This is the place to ask though because the moderators have asked us not to ask for info on Reports/Conditions. Hopefully there will be a first hand report coming soon.

I fished Sacandaga on 1/2/21 Not much action, ice 3" to 6". Did come across some thin spots. SPUD SPUD SPUD!!. Three inches good black ice, anything over that was snow ice. Got slushy after drilling from the rain they had on top of the snow (Heavy).
Saw a couple guys way out on Pleasant, inlet under RT8 there looked nasty. Main lake looked slushy from what I could see.
Snowmobile tracks on Oxbow.
Piseco lake outlet is BAD no sign of ice there. Not sure about main lake.

Hope this helps

Staying at one of the motels on there or knowing some one with a house or a camp helps.   Just a heads up, Oxbow gets a ton of snowmobile traffic.

Thanks a lot guys. Info is very helpful. Mariaville lake had about 4 inches last week. Only place I’m willing to go on that’s close by. Might try Oxbow this weekend. Thanks again

I fished it on Saturday until about 12:30. Ice was over 5”. I caught 9 Lakers and my brother 5. They were about 50/50 tip ups and jigging. Best was 16”

I pulled my shanty out on the eastern end of the lake near Pine Island on Sunday. I have at least 8" of good solid Ice.

Looking to try Piseco for the first time. What depth you normally target Lakers at?

I had tip ups from 25-50 ft in front of the first campsite. Half on the bottom half just under the ice. The ones on the bottom were more productive.
