looking ahead into the forecast looking pretty good low 40's in the day and freezing temperatures at night for 6 days strait wonder if it will amount to some safe ice pretty soon

I'm gettin the itch pretty bad here myself. After work 2 nights ago I spent 4 hours watching ice fishing videos, re lining the traps and jig rods and today before work I put new red flags on my traps. Girlfriend wasn't to thrilled because I think she knows where I'll be when I'm not working once the ice forms! One good thing about this shift (3pm-12a) is I can probably slam some crappies pretty hard! Tight lines!

that shift is great for the fishing and hunting but not so great on the relationship.

If she loves you and understands you, she will get over it! If not, there are more fish in the sea. I'm one to talk, I've been married 25 years and together 30. She understands some guys need their time on the golf course, some in a garage restoring a car, me I enjoy the great outdoors, especially hardwater time!

thats how i figure it Jim! sitting out in the woods or on a frozen lake reconnecting with nature makes me more tolerable, so i use that as an excuse! gotta actually meet ya in person one of these times! maybe meet over some freshly drilled holes??

hmmm, Iwish the weather would turn a little colder, at least at night anyway. It would be nice to at least see a little frost in the morning.

I've got the itch... No, not that one. It's the good kind.
It's pronounced "fay-len" (the x's are silent)
