Long Lake anyone
« on: Feb 04, 2023, 04:32 PM »
I will be staying at the Motel Long Lake in one of their cabins.  Never been on long lake and haven't seen much chatter in regard to this body of water. Only info I've found is good water for pike, and Bass in the spring.
This is not our target body of water but could be an option since we will be mere yards from its shoreline. Any info is welcomed. Message me if you prefer.
Thank you, tight lines and stay top side.

thanks for the reply. If we do fish it, I will stick to what I know for any body of water.

Has some great pike and smallmouth fishing. Have only fished it in summer. Each time we’ve done well. Good luck

Yawn.  The most excitement I had there was navigating the lake in the boat with a south wind sustained at about 25.  Lumpy!

Ice conditions right off the Motel can be sketchy as you head towards the middle of the lake. The channel running under the bridge pushes water that eats the ice there. 1/4 mile up the road is the state boat launch and i know guys have caught some decent pike in that area.
