last weekends new hampshire trip
« on: Mar 03, 2012, 01:32 PM »
aloha
after a yucky season in se mass got the ok from wifey poo to make one last trip with the kids
before packing up the gear for the season
got out on the most beautiful mountain lake found 20 inches of ice but got our buts handed to us by the 30 mph winds and got not one flag
at the end of sat was not going to drag gear across the ice and went back to ramp and drove the burban out to our site and packed up
then we headed out to the hotel  got there and found out they had indoor swimming pool that right there made the kids week end
sunday morning headed south about 45 minutes to another lake and found 8 inches of ice and still put up with crazy winds
only got a couple of yellow perch  so small never even popped the flags
had a great time hanging out with the kids for the weekend
day one in the mountains

day 2

bast damn lunch i ever ate

the big one for weekend

:) Ill be home soon.:)

if you got anything out of that trip it was the families decision to start a yearly tradition from this. that is a great family memory to have even though it wasn't the results u wanted. sometimes it's not about the catching and more about the adventure. that food looked warm enough to remove the chill from the air. wtg rick.

awesome job Dad! it was the trip not the fish you will remember anyways, the swim broke the kids winter up nicely , we used to go to the cape every Feb just to take the kids swimming for the w/e .plenty of cheap rates in the winter.
