Tried the south end of St Brieux this morning. Two hours and only a couple of blips on the flasher. Plan B time headed over to Eagle and that was a good move.
Too many perch to use two lines. The best action was in 8 feet just where we left them in the summer. Too many to count but kept 18 for breakfast tomorrow.
Old fishermen never die, they just smell that way.

Had a decent day, not quite as good as Christmas, ended up with 9 eyes, 4 pike including a 38"er and 4 jumbo perch. Eyes and perch were on a mixture of a pk and a Hildebrandt thingamajig, tipped with eyes. Pike on quik-strike rigs and herrings! The eye bite wasn't on till after 4:30p.m., 2 of the fish were caught in total darkness, dead sticking a minnow using an audible strike indicator. Lots of fishermen today somewhat reminiscent of a Wal-Mart parking lot! I think with the extra activity on the lake, it seemed to push more of the eye bite into the nocturnal realm.

Can't drive on at little lake launch anymore, but I plowed out an alternate route to the north through my field right onto the ice.  ;D

No its blown in pretty bad, so you'd have to drive around from little lake.

Windy and cold today here at St Brieux,  fishing is slow, a few fish suspended but no takers.  Quiet on the lake with not to many fisherman out.

Yep. I fished it hard today, from the St Brieux launch all the way passed Sabos Bay. She's pretty tough fishing there now

Is the little lake similar to the big lake in that you catch mostly walleye with some nice perch and the odd pike mixed in?
