Net fishing numbers were down a bit from last few years, but still within average numbers and sizes. Most people totaling 80-100 fish per net. Less nets this year, less game fish caught in nets this too which probably because we're a week later.

What was the biggest walleye in the net?

I wouldn't really say walleye are deeper in some lakes then others.  It's more about structure and forage.  If you can find a good hole or depth drop set up around there.  Walleye will cruise in looking to push bait fish up against the structure.  If you can't be mobile to chase the fish then I'd set up in deeper water right off the drop.

What is the average depth off of Lungs on Lake Lenore? ???

The SK. bathymetric map only shows for the very S end of the lake for some reason. :-\

Is pike the most common catch in that area?

Never been to Lake Lenore, so just just curious. ;)

I'd say about 15-30 ish feet.  Generally more walleye than pike with some big perch in the mix.

just got back from St. Brieux. It was decent. We caught over 20 walleye with most from 18-24". Some were a bit smaller. Also 3 perch from 10.5" up to 12", and one lonely pike. It was cold, but at least not windy. And a big thanks to the fellas from Saskatoon who lent us there ice auger as mine wouldnt start right away.

Sounds like another good day. I am going to give it a try on Monday. Hope the action is even half as good as last time.

Went to lake lenore yesterday with a buddy, and hammered the walleye all day. Found a spot where it dropped off from 16-24 feet and fished the deep side. From 11am-4pm caught 12 walleyes from 1.5-4 lbs. They were super aggressive, sometimes chasing the spoons 10-15 feet off bottom, biting the hooks multiple times, and hitting so fast they wouldn't even shown on the flasher.
Kept our limit of 2-3lb walleye (gave 2 to my parents and 2 to my friend who slept in and didn't make it)

Are the walleye biting on the south end of St. Brieux or all over the lake? It seems that the perch bite is slower then usual there.

Tried south end of brieux today. 5 walleye a pike and a few perch one touching 13 inches. (by far my personal best) Gotta figure out how to post pics. Lots of pike on camera most not interested every walleye that we seen bit and perch were few and far between and picky but all over 9 inches. Buddy had his lx9 out and. I have to say its pretty fancy wish I could afford one.  A lot of brave people hole hopping today for how cold it was. We did not leave pop up which may have limited what we caught. Good first time out though.

Perch fishing has got worse every year since the lake joined up again so I suspect lots leaving into LL big lake and lots more predators in st Brieux. You would rarely see a perch in LL before lakes joined again.

I'd agree that that the perch numbers are a bit worse. But the size of perch has been a lot better. And I'd make that trade off anyday

I would much sooner catch a few over 10 inches than 20 that were 6 inches any day. We seen quite a few but they were solo never in a school. Most would sit with nose on hook till you tapped them with it then swim off only managed to get a few to bite. Walleye were super aggressive when around and I have never seen so many pike not interested in our hooks.

Well I disagree a bit. I had a hole on the south end that used to be so full of all sizes and you'd catch 100-200 a day. It was great for the kids which is kinda only the reason why I fish for them. It was fun for them with non stop action and fun for us trying to get a big one. And you would too, just matter of luck.

I drove to south end yesterday. I would say 12 to 14 inches where we drilled but check for yourself. Mustang I agree the schools are nice for keeping the kids entertained.

Was out at St Brieux today near the shanty town at the regional park.  You could drive out pretty easily if you followed the path but there was some deeper snow drifts.  We were going to help some guys get out but they were able to rock the vehicle out.  Ice was pretty thick, didn't measure but if i had to guess i would say 18+ inches.

I caught a decent sized pike within a hour of arriving and a smaller one in the afternoon, and two tiny walleye around 4 to 4:45 pm.  We had a few other bites but no action on the tip ups.  Too bad the other guys didnt get to catch any fish.  Some guys we met in the morning when we arrived had picked up 3 walleye in the area before we got there.

We were fishing in 15 ft of water and didn't bother trying to move or hop around on holes due to the weather.  Too bad we didnt get more fish but i still had fun

......And that buddy would be me. The day was slower than watching paint dry, I was getting discouraged, even the big guns on the lake were comin up with little. However the evening redeemed the lake because at 4:00 p.m., it was like someone flipped a switch and fish after fish aggressively mauled my lures with 19 eyes falling prey to a p/w pk flutterfish. It was nice to be able to release most of them and kept a few to eat. Actually, this was my first real good ice fishing experience at the "Brieux". Good fishing to all this winter. ;D
