Gonna be on the ice somewhere this weekend, gonna check a few spots friday and then Saturday i think im gonna choose my favorite out of the spots i check that are safe and be fishing.... I have a particular area in mind that i hope is safe but idk if it will be or not.... Fingers crossed

Fished Otsego last Friday and Saturday.  Ice wasn't great and the snow didn't help.

2 1/2" on the local lakes down here. Spotted a couple brave souls out this afternoon. This weekend should be a good one.

Went out checking ice this afternoon in Barry County. Middle Lake had 2.5", Lawhead lake had 3" and Thornapple had 2.5". Planning on checking some other lakes tomorrow. I will update as I go. Good luck and be safe.

I was in Lake O Monday. Jordon was still mostly open except for the east end and part of the west end. Still open at the launch.

Once again the weather here blows for ice fishing. Sub-zero temps all last weekend thru today, but a ton of snow proceeded it. Now looking at the extended forecast, 40's next week followed by 50's and 60's the next! I guess if I really want to Ice Fish I'll have to move to Canada!

I'm in Kalamazoo and according to MSN Weather Monthly prediction we're looking at upper 30's and 40 next week followed by 63 on Jan 30th. and 31st. and Freaking 70 on the 1st!

Got a buddy in Ionia, he just informed me that Morrison had 4 inches of ice. Guess I'm going to make the drive over there on Saturday and give it a try.

Better get to Morrison early, it will be a zoo. Parking lot isn't plowed but was packed down pretty good when I drove by on Thursday.

Well it seems they updated their projections on the extended forecast and while it is supposed to get in the upper 30's low 40's from Jan 23rd to the 30th, it drops back down to below 32 after that. Like they say, being a Meteorologist is the only job you can be wrong 90% of the time and not get Fired!
