I was eating breakfast this morning...Cornflakes dripped with lots of honey. The honey was really sticky and I got to thinking. I was wondering if fish have a "sweet tooth". Has anyone ever tried dipping their jig or bait in honey? May be far fetched idea. Just wondering if anyone has tried it.

I used cherry twizlers for bait one time after my friend dropped the crawlers in the lake. It was one of the best crappie trips I have ever had. They hit that candy harder than the crawlers!
Give it a try. Just make sure the honey does not get put back in the cupboard after you get dippin worms in it. ;D

I'll squirt some honey into a different container rather than take the whole bottle with me. If I can find a flat cylindrical container I can keep in in my pocket to keep it from freezing and getting too hard to dip into.

I pay homage to the green police, no need to flame. I support the non use of lubricating compounds in fishing applications. ;D

Which brings us to the widespread Diabetes epidemic that is sweeping through the fish population in America. Wilford Brimley will have to don SCUBA gear to remind fish to check their blood sugar. ;D ;D

Put it in a 35mm film canister. I use mini marshmallows for trout all the time. They love them.
